Summary of the new PrepCast Training Course
We launched a new version of our PMP exam prep training course (codename "PrepCast 7 Training Course") on April 4, 2022. Here are some key points about this new version:
- Includes 65 lessons (as of 2022-May-23) with more being developed
- By May 31, 2022, we expect to have 35 hours of core lessons available to allow students to receive the 35 contact hour certificate from PrepCast 2022.
- New lessons will be released as they are ready, with a tentative completion date of June 15, 2022. for all ECO core lessons and June 30, 2022 for all lessons (outside of Module 0). Updates will be posted to this page.
As a special bonus, anyone purchasing our PrepCast Training Course from April 04, 2022 until June 30, 2022 will receive BOTH the old and new version at no additional cost. What a deal!

Who can request an upgrade?
- You purchased The PM PrepCast 6 Training Course between 2021-Apr-01 and 2022-Apr-14.
- If you purchased The PM PrepCast 6 Training Course in the year 2022, then you can request a free upgrade
- If you purchased The PM PrepCast 6 Training Course between 2021-Apr-01 and 2021-Dec-31, then you can request a discounted upgrade
- You are still studying for your PMP Exam and have not yet passed your PMP exam.
Details on how to request the upgrades are below.
The following are excluded from this upgrade offer
- Students who have already passed their PMP exam
- Students who purchased the PrepCast Training Course before 2021-Apr-01
- Anyone who purchased the PrepCast Training Course to earn up to 60 PDUs for their certification renewal
Validity
The upgrade offer is valid until 2022-Jun-04. After this date, no free or discounted upgrades will be processed, and students will have to buy a new license of The PM PrepCast 7 Training Course.
Update: The deadline has been extended until June 1, 2018.
Update 2: A 48 hour "last chance" grace period has been added. We will honor all valid upgrade requests received before June 3rd, 2013 at midnight. Students requesting an upgrade after this date will need to purchase a new license at the full price.
Thank you for understanding that we cannot grant upgrade requests indefinitely and that a period of 2 months (+ 48 hours) should be sufficient time for any proactive project manager to request their upgrade.
How to take advantage of this offer
If you believe that you qualify for a free or discounted upgrade please write to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. using the appropriate email template below. The support team will then assist you through the upgrade in the following steps:
- Send an email with your upgrade request using one of the email templates below.
- A helpdesk ticket is created as soon as we receive your email request and you receive an automated confirmation email.
- The support team reviews and validates your request.
- The support team will personally write to you if they have any questions or need additional information.
- If you are eligible for a free upgrade, the support team will add PrepCast 7 to your account.
- If you are eligible for a discounted upgrade, the support team will provide instructions on how to pay the $79 upgrade fee.
- The upgrade fee must be paid by credit card - PayPal is not available.
- Once you have paid the upgrade fee, please forward the payment confirmation email to the support team
- Once the support team receives the forwarded confirmation of your payment of the upgrade fee, they will add PrepCast 7 to your account.
- You will receive two emails once the upgrade is processed: "Thanks for your order" and "Your Updated Exam Prep Access Information". These messages confirm that the upgrade was processed and contain access information
- You can now log in to the website using your existing username and password to access your upgraded product.

How do I study using both PrepCast 6 and 7?
If you want to "mix and match" PrepCast 6 and 7, then here is our recommended approach:
- PrepCast 7: Watch available lessons of Module 00.1 - 00.5
- PrepCast 6: Watch all lessons of Module 1, 2, 3, and 4
- PrepCast 7: Watch available lessons of Module 1, 2, 3, and 4
- PrepCast 6: Watch all lessons of Modules 20, 21 and 22
- PrepCast 6 and 7: Watch all remaining lessons
- PrepCast 7: Watch all new lessons when they are published
- PrepCast 6: Print your certificate

Will you tell me whenever new lessons for PrepCast 2022 are released?
The "Module and Lesson Directory" for PrepCast 2022 indicates the release date for those lessons that were most recently added.
How many new lessons do you release each week?
We plan to release 1-3 lessons each week.
When will all lessons for PrepCast 2022 be available?
We release lessons incrementally. This means that each lesson is released as soon as it is available.
- By May 31, 2022, we expect to have 35 hours of core lessons available to allow students to receive the 35 contact hour certificate from PrepCast 2022.
- Our current schedule is to complete the development of all lessons (to include support lessons in addition to the aforementioned “core” lessons) by June 30, 2022. This date can change without notice.
Can I watch PrepCast 7 on my tablet or phone?
Yes. Just like all its predecessors, The PM PrepCast 7 Training Course is a podcast. Simply install your preferred podcast app on your device and then follow the instructions from the "Thanks for your Order" email to add PrepCast 7 as a subscription to the app.
When will you take PrepCast 6 off the market?
The availability of PrepCast 6 depends on whether it is for PMP, CAPM or PDUs:
- PrepCast 6 for PMP Exam Prep:
We will remove PrepCast 6 for PMP from our website between 2022-Apr-04 and 2022-Apr-14. After this date, only PrepCast 7 will be available for PMP. (But note, PrepCast 6 is bundled into the PrepCast 7 purchase.) - PrepCast 6 for CAPM Exam Prep:
The CAPM exam is still based on the PMBOK Guide 6th edition. Therefore, PrepCast 6 will continue to be available for the CAPM exam until PMI announces a change. - PrepCast 6 to earn PDUs for PMP renewal:
Those who have already passed their PMP exam and would like to earn up to 60 PDUs for their certification renewal will be able to purchase PrepCast 6 until 2022-Dec-31
When and how will you update the PrepCast Simulator?
The PrepCast Simulator is regularly updated. We recently developed and published new questions based on PMBOK 7 and we are continuously improving questions, explanations, and references at no extra cost to you.
When will The PM StudyCoach Guidebooks for PrepCast 7 Elite PLUS be available?
At this time, The PM PrepCast 7 Elite PLUS includes The PM StudyCoach Guidebooks that are based on PMBOK Guide 6th edition. Use them while studying the PrepCast 6 lessons. (Remember: PrepCast 6 is included in your purchase of PrepCast 7). Once all lessons for PrepCast 7 are recorded, we will turn our attention to updating The PM StudyCoach Guidebooks and update them for PrepCast 7. We plan to complete this in Q4 of 2022.
Important to note
We occasionally receive emails from customers who purchased our exam preparation course a year or more ago, requesting a free or discounted upgrade. As a general rule, customers are not eligible for an upgrade. This is because our products are designed to help students prepare for and pass their exam within about 10-12 weeks with appropriate study focus and effort. One version of the product is sufficient to get you there.
However, during the current time of mixed messaging sent out by the Project Management Institute (PMI)® regarding the use of PMBOK 6 and PMBOK 7 on the exam, we understand that students may want to use courses that cover both PMBOK 6 and PMBOK 7 content. For this reason, we are offering free or discounted upgrades to students who are currently and actively in the middle of their preparation. Students who purchased their course before our cutoff date have had over a year to prepare and pass their exam and so cannot claim that they got surprised or blindsided by PMI's changeover.
