Training contact hours:
I started by watching a video on Udemy but it did not really help. I was then advised to watch the PM PrepCast.
When watching the video, practice ACTIVE watching. If you work while watching it, it won't work for multiple reasons:
- The training is packed with information and require your full attention
- There are some key sentences that you don't want to miss, such as "the biggest challenge with risk management is to actually implement the risk responses".
One thing I did not do were the end of chapter test exams.
Other work materiel
I'm very visual so worked off the Heads First book as well as the PMBOK Guide (you have to take the paper version).
I was also in a meetup study group so was working one chapter per week.
Application work experience
To fill out the work experience, write sentences that include the input, a tool and the output for each knowledge area and each experience.
Use this template:
I: input, tool, output
E: input, tool, output
M&C: input, tool, output
C: input, tool, output
Result, no audit
For the exam, I did not use a brain dump as I thought it would take too much time.
I would suggest you take a memory booster, starting about a month before the exam.
For the exam itself, I took an energy drink and that really did help a lot.
If you work hard, you've got this.
In other words, if you work hard, the exam is just you proving that you did the work so stressing is useless.
