Good Morning All,
First of all thank you Mr. Cornelius Fichtner and your team for developing very good PODCAST videos and PMP exam simulator software.
Exam simulator and analysis of results helped me a lot to focus on areas that needed improvement.
Final Exam Result: BT/AT/AT/AT/AT
Sources referred during study:
PMBOK guide (One time in detail)
PM PrepCast PODCAST videos (listened all videos at least 2 to 3 times)
PMP exam simulator (All 8 Exams and analyse results for each question)
PMP® Exam Prep, Ninth Edition, by Rita Mulcahy (one time in detail)
Other YouTube videos.....by Aileen Ellis, Ricardo Vargas
Study plan:
Started listening to videos Dec 2018
studies 2 hrs a day and 4 hours on weekend
reading PMBOK guide and taking personal notes
Started with Exam Simulator : 1st Exam in March 2019 & 8th Exam in May 2019
Last Two weeks before exam:
went through all PrepCAST exam results one more time.....each question
read Rita Mulcahy book to refresh concepts
quick scan through PMBOK guide
Day before exam........just reviewed personal notes (almost 100 plus pages)
On day of exam.......took a day off from work .....just relaxed...good early lunch
Reached 1 hour early to get comfortable with surroundings
Personal experience:
focus more on understanding concepts and read questions carefully
Time management was my issue........I was able to attempt 197 questions out of 200....last 25 questions finished in 8 minutes
Pay attention if question is asking for document, tool & technique or plan / process
I failed 5 exams out of 8 during my preparation......but i focused on understanding questions and making concepts clear
PrepCast Exam simulator is the best preparation tool for this exam
Please do not sacrifice your personal life.....I went to all birthday parties, played tennis on weekend
that helped me to keep pressure off and not get too worried about PMP exam
Overall I am very happy with my certification and journey.
Again Thank you Mr. Cornelius Fichtner and your team.
Regards,
Vaibhav Bhuskute, PMP
