Hi All,
I just had my PMP passed today. Here to share some of my experience :
Study Materials:
Primarily, I used PMBOK guide for the study preparation.
I started with learning by Knowledge area basis, then, follow by studying by Process Groups basis.
I had the Rita Mulcahy's book but I didn't find it helpful.
I took 11 months for the preparation. For the last 3 months of the preparation’s journey, I concentrate to brush up my knowledge using the Simulator.
Online Exam Simulator:
I took about 6 full exams out of the 9. I averaged a score between 80-85%.
7 days before the Exam:
I took the Annual Leave to do revision at home.
1 days before the Exam:
I took 1 full exams from the Online Exam Simulator, ITTO exam.
Day of the Exam:
I arrived an hr before my scheduled exam timing.
The exam Question:
The exam question not as lengthy as the PM PrepCast Simulator.
Most of the exam questions are situational based.
The information provided in the question is not clear and direct, therefore, most of the time I spent on analysing the question, to find out the clue.
Less than 5 questions are straight forward question.
About 5 questions are formula based.
I took about 3 hrs to finish the 200 questions and took 1hr to review the marked question.
Summary:
I am very grateful that I came to know PmPreCast simulator. It really helps my learning a lot.
Last but not least, thank you everybody who shared the experience, and best of luck for those preparing for the exam.
