TOPIC: PMP preparations and exam

Hello everybody,

Let me describe my PMP journey in a few bullet points:
- learning period from mid January till the end of May 2017
- resources: PMBOK and PM Exam Simulator
- workload of approx. 10-15 h per week
- skimming through PMBOK once at first (January)
- thorough study of PMBOK (February+March)
- Parallel review of PMBOK and sample exams (April+May)
- Exam passed in the first attempt (early June)

Recommendations:
- schedule you exam early, plan your study accordingly and keep track of progress
- keep in mind a significant difference in efficiency between studying in the evening after a work day and in the weekends when you are fresh and rested
- focus on understanding tools and techniques
- based on sample exam scores review PMBOK accordingly to address the gaps (my first scores were in 70-75% range, which gradually increased to 85-90% in last attempts)

Exam:
- take breaks (I took 2 during the exam and one before the review of flagged questions)
- make sure you have snacks and something to drink in the breaks
