TOPIC: Passed PMP !

Finally 8 weeks of preparation, sacrifice of family time paid off.

Today I passed PMP with 3 Ps and 2 MPs.

1. I have started my preparation couple of months back.
2. I targeted to study a round of Rita's and PMBOK guide.
3. As soon as I finished studying both the books, I turned to Mock tests. I read about PM PrepCast from some online blogs.
4. I signed up for 1800 questions/9 Full Mock tests.
5. I scored less than 70% in my 1st mock up test. It was a wake up call.
6. I started reviewing my weak areas: By domain (Planning was my weakest) and then by Knowledge areas (Risk, Quality and Time management were my weakest).
7. I brushed up all my weak areas. Gave 2nd, 3rd and 4th Mock. Started scoring around 75%.
8. I gave the times quizzes and targeted only the questions which I scored incorrectly.
9. I did mock 5 to 9 and scored around 75-80%.
10. Mock tests were really helpful , not only for the type of questions but also testing the patience to deal with 4 hours of real exam.

On the day of exam, I was bit nervous. I targeted to complete 200 questions under 3 hours. But I was giving the test till last minute. Only got 15 minutes to review 50+ marked question. I managed to review only 25 questions. I submitted the test and got the result as Passed.

Hello:
When did you receive an email from PMI and when were you able to locate your info on their site? I took the exam this morning and passed and the PMI website still says: Pick an exam time

Got my email the next day after passing exam. Certificate came a week or two later.

Its about 48 hrs and no email up. What gives?

I would just contact PMI if you are concerned. It is always possible that somehow they didn't have the correct email address. You should have the sheet of paper that was given to you by the testing center that shows you passed.

How complex prep cast mock exams compared to real PMP exam ?

I passed PMP exam 11 days ago
it was a great pleasure because it was my third trial to pass this exam
really it was my fault not to pass the exam
the first lesson : it is not enough to take a training class in 7 days then start revision
the second lesson : you must take on line training course so you can take a long time lecture with the opportunity to repeat it
the third lesson : more questions you practice the stronger you will be
