Hey everyone!
I’m a 26-year-old professional who used to be knee deep in the trenches of PMP exam prep, but now passed with the help of PrepCast! I thought I'd share some of my fave study strategies that have kept me from having a full meltdown:
> Giant Whiteboards: Trust me on this one. Get yourself a giant whiteboard, some colorful markers, and transform your room into a thinking space. Drawing out the processes and relationships between them has saved my sanity and, let's be real, made me feel like a strategic mastermind.
> Pomodoro Technique: You know that technique where you work for 25 minutes and then take a 5-minute break? Yeah, it’s legit. It breaks up the tiring monotony of studying. Plus, those 5-minute breaks are perfect for a quick eye rest or social media scroll.
> Tech-Savvy Flashcards: Use apps like Anki or Quizlet to make digital flashcards. They’re easy to edit, you can use them anywhere!
> Group Study (but make it fun): Organize study groups with your buddies who are also taking the exam. Since I'm taking the certification with colleagues, we turn it into a game night-style study session.
> Relaxation Station: Okay, this might sound counterintuitive, but make sure you’re taking time to relax! Take leisurely walks, or binge-watch some feel-good shows. My current fave? Rewatching old episodes of “The Office”.
So there you have it, my fellow PMP warriors. May your study sessions be productive and your break times be blissful. Let’s ace this thing together!
