Passed on the first try.

About 2 months of so-so study and 1 week of serious study at the end.

Main materials used were PMBOK, Prepcast, and Rita's book.

Prepcast is a great resource, especially for people who are auditory learners. It is also excellent when lugging a laptop or book around would not be convenient, but an ipod would be. Also, Cornelius Fichtner is very informative about the overall "PMP experience;" he goes above and beyond in this aspect. Finally, the benefit/cost cannot be beaten.

I did 2 full mock exams - oliver and pmstudy. I would have preferred to have taken more though. I also did several shorter exams. My advice is never to take the same exam twice. After all, in the real PMP exam, only the first time counts.

Lastly, everyone comes from a different background with different experience and different test taking abilities. What I needed to pass the PMP may be very different from what someone else might need.
