folkes,

I passed PMP exam from Yokohama Japan on Jan 9th 2010. I prepared the exam in the following way

Books
1. Head first PMP
2. PMP Exam by Andy Crowe.
3. PMP Exam Prep by Rita Mulcahy
4. PMP Exam guide by Kim Heldman --I highly rate this book as this book is written in the right flow of Project management so that it is easy to understand.

Also I used to visit this blog .. That helped

www.deepfriedbrainpmp.com/

Took four tests at pm-study.com

Last but not the least the PMBOK.

I also used the PM Prepcast. It helped me in getting the contact hours. However I could not listen to it much as

1. My lack of concentration while listening
2. Some times the prepcast become as dry as PMBOK. Mr.Fischner really needs to work on this. especially in procurement Management area.

I liked the explanation on the EVM and also Risk management.

Mr. Fischner`s advice to visit the exam center helped me immensely. I visited the site a month back. Also the exam center was great. calm and quiet, no noise.

overall if you can prepare for 2.5 to 3 months you can crack it.

regards,

sujeeth
