I managed to pass the PMP on the first attempt. I used a different website for the 35 hours needed, and used the PMP prepcast simulator to get experience.

The biggest piece of advice I can give is that once you have a solid foundation of the terms and concepts used in project management, the PMP becomes a reading comprehension test.
Read the questions, understand what lifecycle is being used, understand where the question places you in that lifecycle, and be careful of "not" and "least."
