Wooohoooooooooooooooooo! I passed with 4 ATs! My Target was Closing which I struggled with the entire 7 weeks of exams and class but hey I passed!!!
So lessons learned:
1.
- I took the exam from home and nearly failed because I left the camera when I saw the YOU HAVE PASSED page. Read the passed page, do the survey, and completely log off from the system before you get up and celebrate!!!!
2. My exam Part 1 lasted 90 questions. I've heard 85 to 100. I decided to go with a different exam simulator after finishing six of the practice exams with PM-cast because I could set it up to do 50 questions at a time to practice marking, answering, and reviewing more like the current exam.
- Make sure you have NO one at home and/or no one that can come into the room. Also, you cannot speak, mumble, talk to yourself etc. I got a warning for this.
Make sure you go to the bathroom and get your water before the exam starts. Use your 10-minute break. Don't try to power through it even if you are at home. I meditated with Amazon Alexa for a few minutes and it helped a lot.
- Classes and reading are good. Do as many exams as you can find on PM-Precast and on other sites. One I found had a sale for 33% off the exam simulator. This is the one with 1-hour exams which helped me simulate the format in real life and it had an on-screen calculator and whiteboard.
- Do not skip any of the PM-cast stuff. Agile had at least ten questions that I saw. I worked in agile and waterfall projects so they were easy but if you haven't done Agile - read up and watch the videos
- Equations were easy to memorize after six weeks and two notebooks of writing them down at least twice if not 3-5 times daily. Have a system for the EAT and ETC equations. Those were the toughest to memorize
