Good afternoon,
I was beyond thrilled with the PMP Prepcast material and Exam Simulator. Overall, the materials were extremely informative and I feel fortunate to have such a large body of material to reference to support my studies.
- Started with overview sections for each Knowledge Area
- Paired each overview series with the PMBOK guide (full chapter)
- Completed the initial contact hours to submit my application for the exam
- Completed each sub-Knowledge Area video and review session
- Completed post chapter assessment
- Reread notes from each review area
- Took an initial full 200 question exam
- Reread notes based on areas that were deficient or in need of improvement
- Worked on my virtual brain dump (more terms, Knowledge Areas, key processes, etc.)
- Targeted timed and learning quizzes to build up experience/question review with another 400 questions
Took the exam, crossed my fingers, and was stoked for the first time pass. The exam was challenging but the notes from the PrepCast and combined exam questions were the right mix of tools to support my studies. I did not read other study materials as I found the PrepCast was sufficient. In total, I started studying at the end of June and took my exam at the end of October with an average of 15 to 20 hours per week of study time. It was manageable and prevented burnout during the study process.
Cheers,
Kyle
