I definitely have to say how honoured i feel to be able to write my experience in this "Lessons Learned" forum. This PMP exam was a journey because, by nature, I don't consider myself to be a disciplined "self-studyer" however, I had to keep committed and as Jamaicans would say "If yuh want good! yuh nose affi run!"

I studied hard and kept close to God through prayer and he saw me through with 4 Above Targets (Implementing, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling) and 1 Target (Closing). My first attempt (literal attempt) started with me me trying to begin the Check in Process 1 hour before the exam and calling Pearson Vue to let them know that the system wasnt checking me in and asking for their assistance. They told me to wait for the 1/2 hr mark to check in(which i did , but to my distress, it still didnt work) They came on my system and tried to assist, and it STILL WOULD NOT WORK. As a result, the online proctored exam was a no for me, and i decided to choose a test centre. Thankfully there was one, but about 4 weeks later.

I was discouraged as my father (who always encouraged me, especially with my studies) passed away during the 4 weeks coming up to the exam, so it was hard for me to keep that motivation. But i prayed and persevered and with God's help!

I thought i would do a brain dump that i practiced so much, but i didnt, probably because me practicing the brain dump and writing out the 49 processes every day for 1 month, meant that it as now embedded in my brain...lol I completed all the questions, one hour early, but decided to spend a little time glancing over the questions, because i felt, it could not be right that i finished in that time.

I prayed and pressed finish exam and was in shock when I saw the "Congratulations" message. To God be the Glory! Great things he has done!
