Is there an official PMI definition of uncertainty? Is there a difference between risk and uncertainty? Or is uncertainty related to the probability of a risk occurring?

Dear Anil,

I suggest you check PMI lexicon terms (downloadable from PMI website if you are a PMI member). According to the PMI lexicon terms, the definition of risk is an uncertain event or condition that, if it occurs, has a positive or negative effect on one or more project objectives.

Good luck with your exam preparation!
Best regards,
