TOPIC: Status meeting

I recently come across a answer in Kim Heldman's book that says - "Status Meeting is a form of PUSH communication method."

I tried to cross check with PMBOK 5th ed, but could not confirm it. I'm bit confused about this statement as meeting or status meeting should be interactive method. please help me to understand this

PMBOK 295; meeting is interactive and report is push, so status meeting should be interactive as it is practically a meeting and two or more parties exchange info in multi directions and common understanding can be confirmed.
