TOPIC: validity of 35 contact hours certificate

Hi.

I have taken the 35 contact hours certificate in April 2013 with course content of PMBOK 4.

I know that PMP Exam upto July 29th 2013 is with PMBOK 4th edition

I did not clear my PMP in the first attempt. in May 3013.

I plan to reappear for the PMP exam after July 31st 2013. I understand the PMP course content are then changing and the new PMBOK 5th edition is released. I have 3 questions here:

1. Is my 35 contact hour certificate valid for the new revised PMP exam after July 31st?

2. Where can I get the PMBOK 5 copy?

3. Will you share with me the PMPrepcast for new revised PMP (PMBOK 5th edition)

>> Yes. Contact Hours never expire. So your certificate is still valid

I have done my 35 PDU in the year of 2012 with the PMBOK 4 version. I am not able to take the exam with PMBOK 4 Version. Currently i am planning to appear PMP Exam and preparing with PMBOK 5 Edition. Do i have to freshly get 35 PDU or with the OLD Credentials i can apply for the exam.

Suresh,

Contact Hours NEVER expire. Therefore, the 35 contact hours that you earned already are still valid. You can apply without needing to earn "new" contact hours.
