A big thank you to Cornelius Fichtner for his comprehensive course, which helped me prepare for the CAPM exam!
For those who are new or looking to get certified, here’s what I did over roughly 12 weeks to prepare for the exam:
• Watched all of Cornelius’ learning videos, including the optional ones, and took detailed notes.
• Read the PMBOK Guide and Agile Practice Guide. I joined PMI as a member and downloaded the eBooks for free through my membership.
• Used the CAPM exam simulator, answering 10-50 questions per day to test my knowledge. I highly recommend this tool! I only did one full 150-question exam in one sitting; the rest I tackled in smaller increments.
• Reviewed the PMI exam reference guide, focusing on the PMBOK and Agile Practice Guides, and made notes for each section.
• Revisited the exam simulator, retaking all the questions I got wrong in batches of 10-50 questions per day, making notes along the way.
By the end, I was consistently scoring 80-90% on practice questions, which gave me the confidence to take the exam.
