For the online version of the PMP exam, can you still use a calculator and have plain paper to take notes on?

Hi Stephanie,

the short answer to both questions is no; now, let me further explain it:
- you are not allowed to use a calculator, but you will be provided with a built-in calculator in the OnVUE program, which is the one that allows you to run the online exam;
- you are not allowed to use any pen or paper, but a built-in (digital) whiteboard is included for you to take notes and draft networks, if needed. It is very similar to Paint, and PearsonVUE provides you with the opportunity to practice at the following link: home.pearsonvue.com/onvue/whiteboard

Additional info and requirements for the online proctored mode are available here: home.pearsonvue.com/pmi/onvue

Hope this helps,

Gabriella
