TOPIC: Changes in PMI ACP exam

I came to hear that there would be changes to PMI ACP exam from August 2015. Is it true?

if true, what would be changes?

The PMI-ACP exam changes on July 15th and in general the changes are twofold:

1.) The structure of the exam content outline has changed from 2 domains to 6
2.) New and emerging agile concepts have been added

We are working on including these new concepts and (if all goes well) then I will have an interview later today with an agile expert to discuss Hybrid Models, which will become a recorded lesson of The Agile PrepCast.

I'm going to take my exam in September.

How soon can we expect the newly updated exam prep? If I buy the exam prep today, will I receive free update or should I wait a bit and buy updated prep then?

At this time we don't have a solid handle on our velocity yet. I spoke to our team lead this morning and she is currently of the opinion that we should be able to "start cranking out" both interviews and recorded presentations next week. This means:

1) You will see the first new lessons / interviews coming your way next week.
2) We can give you a better schedule estimate by the end of next week.
3) More lessons will come regularly after that
4) Module 14 (exam content outline review) will be the last one we tackle. We want to first give you the new content because you can always read the outline on your own as a refresher.

So my recommendation is that you can buy the PrepCast now and expect the first updates next week.

Is the prepcast updated with new updates and changes accomodated?

In short: About 7 new lessons have been published, about 4 new ones are still in the works, and module 14 will be completely reworked. My best guess at this time is that the 4 new ones will be complete in about 7-10 days but no ETA for Module 14 yet, but that's not a problem since it isn't all that important. It's just a review.
