Hello everyone! Here is this week's free PMP® exam sample question from the PM Exam Simulator.

If SV = -800 and PV = 7000, how much is EV?

A. 6000
B. 8000
C. 6200
D. 9000

Answer and Explanation:
The correct answer is C.

SV = EV - PV, therefore EV = SV + PV = -800 + 7000 = 6200.

Not sure the answer is C. If the equation for SV is SV = EV - PV, then to find EV we must move PV on the other side which gives SV + PV = EV ... then the result would be 800 + 7000 = EV = 7800.... SV being positive and not negative in the question.

The answer is definitely 7800

Looks like typo for the question, should be -800 not 800
From math question will be : SV = EV - PV
Will become EV = -800 + 7000 = 6200

or as above comments (if not typo), EV = 7800
