TOPIC: PMP 2021 changes vs CAPM certification

I have just registered for the CAPM study and my final goal is to get PMP certified:

1. Will the CAPM PM prep cast change after the PMI 2021 changes ?
2. Is the CAPM Prep cast study still valid or is it changing to reflect the PMP changes?
3. If yes, I have bought the course 0n 14/10/2020 , so do I automatically get upgraded to the new subject contents?
4. Do you recommend that I take the CAPM exam before 31st Dec ?

Second: The CAPM exam is NOT changing at this time. Everything will remain the same at least until March 2021. Therefore, my answers are as follows:

1. CAPM PrepCast won't change because the CAPM exam is NOT changing
2. CAPM PrepCast is still valid because the CAPM exam is NOT changing
3. No upgrade will be provided because the CAPM exam is NOT changing
4. I recommend that you plan on taking the exam before March 2021. We're not exactly sure when the CAPM exam is changing, but it will be soon after March.

Is there any new information regarding the changes to the CAPM exam, when will it be based on the 7th edition of the PMBOK ? I got accepted to take the exam, hence I was wondering whether I should purchase the 6th or the 7th edition ?

We have no new information about any changes coming to the CAPM exam at this time.

The CAPM exam is a test of the PMBOK Guide. Therefore, here is my best guess
- The PMBOK Guide will be published after March 31, 2021.
- Around that time, PMI will release an updated CAPM Exam Content Outline
- Now we can plan for providing updated training materials.

Courtney, that's an old article. The video refers to changes being made in 2019, and the article refers to moving to Pearson Vue, which happened a long time ago. Good luck with your test!
