Student Profile: Patricia Armstrong, PMP
I am in education and teach project management to a broad range of students from across my State in Australia. I wanted to be able to provide my students with more robust learning environment so updating my own professional qualification was part of this.
I read the A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) once or twice but referred to it often when doing the practice questions. I think it is vital to have this resource and read it before starting exam preparation.
To study for this exam (and pass it the first time), I would recommend to focus on answering as many practice questions as possible. I learned a great deal from the way the questions were structured and the underpinning theories that I needed to know about the concepts. Even though I thought I knew PMBOK® Guide well (because I teach it), the exam was more detailed and specific that I expected. Practice, practice, practice is the key to success!
All the best,
Patricia Armstrong, PMP
